Privacy Policy

QuotesOn ("we", "us") operates quoteson.com, a service that provides instant home-project estimates and connects homeowners with licensed service providers. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect what's needed to produce your estimate and deliver your quote request, we encrypt your contact details, and we only share them with the providers you consent to hear from.

Information we collect

• Quote request details: your ZIP code, property address, project answers (e.g., roof material, monthly electric bill), name, email address, and phone number.
• Verification & security data: your IP address, browser information, bot-check (Cloudflare Turnstile) results, and SMS verification status. Used to prevent fraud and abuse.
• Ad attribution: if you arrive from an ad, we record campaign parameters (UTM tags, click IDs) and the page you landed on, so we know which advertising works.
• Consent records: a timestamped copy of the exact consent language you agreed to when submitting a request.

We do not collect payment information.

Analytics & advertising

We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, and the Meta (Facebook) pixel together with server-side conversion APIs to measure which of our ads lead to quote requests. As part of that measurement we may share hashed (irreversibly scrambled) versions of your email address and phone number, along with standard event data such as your IP address and browser type, with Google and Meta. These providers may set their own cookies.

Because Google and Meta can use this information to show you ads on other sites and apps, this activity may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising under California and other state privacy laws. You can opt out of it — see "Do not sell or share my personal information" below. You can also opt out of personalized advertising at adssettings.google.com and in your Facebook ad preferences, or limit tracking in your browser settings.

How we use it

• To calculate and show your instant estimate.
• To deliver your quote request to up to four licensed service providers — only with the consent you grant during the request, and only up to the number of quotes you choose where offered.
• To verify your phone number and prevent fake or automated submissions.
• To send you a copy of your estimate and service messages about your request.
• To operate, secure, and improve the service and measure advertising performance.

How we share it

We share your quote request with the matched service providers you consented to hear from. We also use a small set of processors to run the service: SMS verification (Telnyx), email delivery (Resend), hosting and security (Cloudflare), address/roof imagery (Google Maps Platform), and the measurement providers described above. Each receives only what it needs to perform its function. We may disclose information if required by law. We do not sell your contact information to data brokers, and we never share your quote request with anyone beyond the matched providers you chose and the processors above. The one exception is the advertising and analytics activity described under "Analytics & advertising," which may count as a "sale" or "sharing" under state law and which you can opt out of below.

How we protect it

Contact details (name, email, phone) are encrypted at rest with AES-256 field-level encryption. All traffic is encrypted in transit (TLS). Access to homeowner request data is restricted, logged, and protected behind authentication. No system is perfectly secure, but we designed this one so that your contact information is never stored in plain text.

Text messaging & mobile opt-in

We operate two text-messaging programs: SMS verification for homeowners requesting a quote, and the Pro Job Alerts program that notifies enrolled contractors of matched homeowner requests. Both require your express opt-in. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to cancel or HELP for help.

Mobile phone numbers and SMS/text-messaging opt-in consent are collected solely to deliver the messages you request. We do not share or sell mobile numbers or SMS opt-in consent to third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.

Retention

We keep quote requests and consent records for as long as needed to operate the service and meet legal obligations (consent records are retained to document compliance with telephone consumer protection laws), then delete or anonymize them.

Your choices & rights

• Opt out of calls/texts: reply STOP to any text, tell any caller to place you on their do-not-call list, or use our Do-Not-Call page.
• Do not sell or share my personal information: opt out of the advertising/analytics sharing described above on our Do Not Sell or Share page. We also honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as a valid opt-out automatically.
• Access or delete your data: email privacy@quoteson.comand we'll respond within 30 days. Depending on your state (including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Virginia and others), you may have legal rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising them — we honor these requests regardless of where you live.

Children

The service is for adults arranging home-improvement work. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update this page and the date above. Continued use of the service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
